"Proverbs 17:6 Children's children are the crown of old men : and the glory of children are their father's."
Though I may not get to spend as much time with my children and grandchildren as I'd like. When I am with them, it's like breathing in a lungfull of fresh, clean air or taking a long, cool drink from a mountain stream. They are refreshing, they are full of laughter and silliness, inquisitive innocence, and chock full of energy. I love watching them, sitting with them, chasing the little ones through the house while pretending to be a big, bad monster, listening to their stories about school, sports, telling them about God and Jesus, answering their questions about life in general, if I can. To Ken, Jeremy, Joshua, Amanda, Michelle, David, Rachel and our grandchildren: Alix, Jeremy Jr., Jillian, Carly, Jason, Jonah, Joseph and two more on the way, I have this to say to you as you live your life try to remember this:
I have come to the conclusion that not all things in life are fair and it doesn't always turn out the way we expect it to: whether it be tragedies, people who have wronged us, untimely circumstances, illness or disease or just plain bad choices and decisions, we've all made them . There are going to be moments when we may not understand what is happening or going on in our lives. That's when we need to look up and kneel down, no matter how difficult it may be to do so. Some circumstances we can change others we cannot, but God can. You cannot change people, but you can change yourself. Surround yourself with good people and always choose right over wrong. We love you all so much, Jesus loves you and we hope the very best for you in your life.
Isaiah 26:3 "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
